The Finchingfield Guildhall

The Finchingfield Guildhall

The premiere performance of “You Are My Heart’s Delight” took place on 7th March 2015 at the Finchingfield Guildhall – a beautiful and fitting venue, with a packed house … and drinks & nibbles to boot!

You can see some pictures of the venue and preparations for the show on our Facebook page here. There have been some lovely comments about the show from members of the audience:

“not too late I trust to say again how much I enjoyed this production.  Magnificent in every way and would just love to see it again!”

“I hope you have great success with the show.  I shall publicise it around to all who are looking for an entertainment to add to their festivities, be it a party, a fund-raiser or whatever.”

“Thanks again to all involved in this superb production.  Just wish my husband could have been there…”

“Just a note to say how much I enjoyed the evening you and your colleagues put on at The Guildhall on 7th March.  It really was great fun.”

The cast are all looking forward to the show’s next outing at the Garrick Club, London on the 29th May, and booking more dates in for the future. Watch this space!

  • I came across your show by accident looking for contact details for Jeremy Child. This is to reply to his current letter in the Stage.

Please let me know of any performances of “You are my Heart’s Delight” in London or the South East.

He was a clever lyricist. Whether he had any knowledge of German for the libretti in that language is another matter.

Of course the title song needs the proper tenor ring, and José Collins’ singing/putting over of the title role of “The Maid of the Mountains” has never been equalled. (See the downloads of the original recording).

Richard Duployen, actor/singer, faithful translator of operetta etc..
